First graduation excitement at Beyaz Köşk Kindergarten

Izmir University of Economics (IUE) Beyaz Köşk Kindergarten, the only kindergarten owned by a foundation university in Izmir, produced its first graduates. Children aged 5-6 put on their robes and threw their caps into the air like university students. The children, who received great acclaim with the songs they sang, the plays they prepared and the dance performances they put on stage, gave their families an unforgettable evening.

Before the ‘End-of-Year Event and Graduation Ceremony’ held by Beyaz Köşk Kindergarten, which was opened last year within the body of Izmir University of Economics, the paintings and designs prepared by the children during the semester were exhibited. The program held at the IUE Conference Hall was marked by the performances of students aged 3-4 as well as graduating students.

The children, who exhibited the activities they learned during the year, and had fun with foreign songs thanks to the English and Italian they started to learn in kindergarten, spent a day to their heart’s content. The enthusiasm increased even more when 13 students who graduated from kindergarten this year came to the stage with their robes and caps at the end of the ceremony. Wearing their caps with great excitement and enthusiasm, the children created colorful images.

Stating that they were experiencing great excitement as well as the children, IUE Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Kentmen Çin said, “I remember very well the first day children started school. They showed a significant development both socially and physically in a short time. They learned a lot from their teachers, they always came to the kindergarten happy. The children are our future and our hope. Seeing them already in robes and caps made us very emotional. May the success always be with them.” Beyaz Köşk Kindergarten Director, Lecturer Ezgi Oral Bozkurtoğlu said, “We are proud of establishing an exemplary kindergarten for our city, worthy of the name of Izmir University of Economics. It was both exciting and happy to witness the development of children thanks to the education they received.”
